At both dormitories we let the children competed in planting vegetables and herbs as well as taking care of the various fruit trees. Rice is planted in a joined project. Thus the children have the opportunity to learn and  improve their planting skills. We also teach how to use organic fertilizer and that the use of pesticides is not always necessary. The fruits and vegetables are consumed by the children.

Again at House of Hope and House of Grace children are trained how to raise life stock as chicken, pigs and fish. Furthermore are we fermenting our own pig food. These skills help them to improve their nutrition once there are back in their villages in the mountains.
